The Pentax K-5 is the successor to the Pentax K-7. It comes with a 16.3 megapixels CMOS APS-C image sensor along with an 11 point SAFOX IX+ autofocus system and 77 segment metering system. These combine to deliver sharp, accurate rendering of what you see in highly detailed resolution. The Pentax K-5 also performs well in low light with an ISO sensitivity range from 80 to 12800 which is expandable up to 51200. The Shake Reduction (SR) stabilization system offers sensor-based shake reduction with rotational compensation for up to 4 stops. Coupled with the Electronic Level function, you will be able to achieve perfectly steady and level shots as required. With a maximum shutter speed of 1/8000s, the Pentax K-5 is also capable of a high continuous burst speed of up to 7fps. Beyond still shooting, the K-5 offers 1080p HD video at 25fps which you can compose or playback comfortably on the 3.0-inch (921k dots) TFT LCD. Designed to pro standards, the K-5?fs body is a weather resistant magnesium alloy body with 77 weather protection seals and can perform well even at -10 degrees Celsius.
